Welcome to the Cub Scout Pack 413 Homepage! Our Pack meetings are held on the third Mondays of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Cal. City Middle School on Redwood Blvd. Our activities are designed so every member of the family gets involved and joins in on the fun. We are sponsored by the California City Community Club. Our Cubmaster is Jeff Williams. If you have any questions, call him at (760) 373-8331. Updated February 26, 2002 2001-2002 Cub Scout Calendar Welcome to another year of Cub Scouts. Here are some of the plans we have made.If you have any questions or if you would just LOVE to volunteer to help, please give me a call at (760) 373-8331. Note: all planning meetings are at 6:30 p.m. at Jeff's house, usually the first Monday of the month. This is when the adults get to give their input. Please attend at least one of these meetings each year. If you can't find someone to watch the kids, then bring them along. You will not get volunteered for an assignment if you attend these planning meetings. However, we would appreciate it if you would volunteer for at least one project each year. Warning: if nobody shows up for the planning meetings, I'll do things MY way. Here is a list of current Pack Proclamations (anouncements): Registration: We will have another recruiting/registration effort underway very soon. We need to keep introducing new families into the program in order to keep Cub Scouting alive in town. Help us find boys. Caring adults have kept the Cub Scout program in California City alive for over 40 years. Scouting becomes a way of life for many families. Even after their sons leave the Scouting program, many adults remain as registered leaders for decades. The Cub Scout program is designed to allow your son to learn about a wide variety of subjects and to give him the opportunity to participate in new experiences. Unlike many other organizations, the Cub Scout program gives every member of your family a chance to take part in all of the Pack activities as well. I encourage you and your family to make a commitment to the Cub Scout program by setting aside the time to become more involved. Please have your son attend as many of the scheduled Scout functions as possible. This includes his weekly den meetings, the monthly Pack meetings, and our special events. Scouting requires the commitment of the parents to be effective. The national office of the Boy Scouts of America requires us to have a certain number of adults present to hold our meetings. As Cubmaster, I cannot allow our adult volunteers to open themselves up to liability by not having a sufficient number of adults present for their meetings. I appeal to you parents to get involved with your son's Scouting career. Registering as an adult leader is free. We will ensure that you will get the training and support necessary to be effective. No previous Scouting experience is required. Den Leaders: please have your Cub Scouts display their work at the Pack meetings and give a report on their progress. We have many activities planned.
